7 – Poland, Hungary, Austria, Croatia and Bosnia

01 – WARSAW

Arrive at Warsaw airport and transfer to the hotel for accommodation and dinner. (D)

02 – WARSAW

Breakfast. In the morning visit (with local guide) the most important monuments of this city, such as the Gothic Cathedral of St. John and the Barbican Gate; we cross the Old City Square (Rynek) with buildings of XVII and XVIII centuries and we see the Holy Cross Church, where the heart of Frederic Chopin is kept. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in hotel. (B,D)

03 – WARSAW / CZESTOCHOWA (218 km)

After breakfast, on to Czestochowa where we will have free time for religious activities in the “Jasna Gora” (Black Madonna) Sanctuary and see the museum dedicated to the history of the Monastery. Accommodation, dinner and overnight in hotel. (B,D)

04 – CZESTOCHOWA / KRAKOW (143 Km)

Breakfast. Depart for Krakow. Upon arrival we’ll visit (with local guide) this city, founded more than a thousand years ago. We’ll see Wawel Castle, the Cathedral, the Church of St.Mary, the old city and the Jewish quarter. We’ll also pass through the Jagiellonian University, the oldest in Poland where the astronomer Copernicus studied. We also visit the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki. The Sanctuary houses graceworking image of the Merciful Jesus and the relics of St. Faustina. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner and overnight. (B,D)

05 – KRAKOW / AUSCHWITZ / WADOWICE / KRAKOW (67 + 32 + 49 Km)

Breakfast. Depart for the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. Visit (with local guide) the former concentration and extermination camp, built by the Germans during the Nazi occupation of Poland. Here, during WWII, the Nazis exterminated more than 1 million people, most of them of Jewish origin. Today it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Departure to Wadowice, the hometown of Pope John Paul II. We’ll visit the house where he was born on May 18th, 1920 and the parish church in which he was baptized. Return to Krakow for dinner and overnight in hotel. (B,D)

06 – KRAKOW / BUDAPEST (390 km)

Breakfast. On board our bus, we leave for Hungary. Arrival in the capital city, Budapest. Accommodation, dinner and overnight in hotel. (B,D)

07 – BUDAPEST

After breakfast, depart on a half day city tour (with local guide) between Buda and Pest (the city is divided in two parts by the Danube River). Start in Buda with the historic Castle Hill, Fishermen’s Bastion, Gellert Hill, Margaret’s Island, Mathia’s Church and Buda Castle. In Pest, we see the National Parliament, Heroes’Square. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in hotel. (B,D)

08 – BUDAPEST / VIENNA (243 Km)

Breakfast. Depart to Vienna, where we will visit (with local guide) St. Stephen Cathedral, Votive Church, Opera, Univerisity, Ringstrasse and the Hofburg Palace. Dinner and overnight in hotel. (B,D)

09 – VIENNA / MELK / MARIAZELL / VIENNA (86 + 92 + 159 Km)

Breakfast.  Depart to visit Melk Abbey, near the Danube river: this is one of the most important spiritual and cultural places in Austria. Continue to Mariazell to visit the Basilica that includes the Miraculous wooden Image of the Virgin Mary. Transfer back to Vienna for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

10 – VIENNA / ZAGREB (376 Km)

Breakfast. Departure to Zagreb. Arrival. Panoramic city tour (with local guide) passing through the Government Building and the Cathedral. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner and overnight. (B,D)

11 – ZAGREB / MEDJUGORJE (437 km)

Breakfast. Departure to Medjugorje. Arrival and accommodation in hotel. Time for religious activities. Dinner and overnight. (B,D)

12 – MEDJUGORJE

Breakfast. Full day dedicated to religious activities. We will climb Podbrdo or Apparition Hill, where on June 24th, 1981 Our Lady with a baby in her arms appeared to 6 young parishioners and keeps appearing and delivering us her messages. It will be possible to ascend the Mount Krizevac (Cross Mountain) and meet the Visioners (if available). Dinner and overnight in hotel. (B,D)

13 – MEDJUGORJE / SPLIT (140 km)

Breakfast. Free time for religious activities. In the afternoon depart to Split where we’ll visit (with local guide) this city that is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This city of the Dalmatia region with 200 mln of citizens, is the second biggest city of the country. We’ll see the Diocletian’s Palace, the Jupiter Temple and the Cathedral. Accommodation. Dinner and overnight in hotel. (B,D)

 

14 – SPLIT / DEPARTURE

Breakfast. According to your flight departure time, transfer to the airport. (B)
